In Anina, we have the opportunity to have our children participate in the Summer Camp (in Romanian, Tabara), organized by the young Orthodox priest p. Daniel.
Last year it was very popular and so we would like to repeat the experience, educational in various aspects (playing together and dedicating moments of prayer, like an Italian GREST).
There will be over 50 children/young people from Anina, followed by volunteers. About 30 children/young people will be ours (those who attend our Day Center most regularly).
Duration: from June 28 to July 2.
We need specific sponsors for this project.
Here are the costs:
– participation kit (including t-shirts and prizes) 160 Lei/each;
– participation in food expenses (snacks, lunch and dinner);
– local transportation.
Last year we got by with €3,500; for this year we think that €2,600 will be enough.
For the accommodation of the volunteers we will have the Bradet School available (no cost).

We are aware that giving a child the opportunity to build his or her own life also means contributing to improving the world and therefore our own future.
We therefore try to spread the idea of a human brotherhood that overcomes borders and barriers. We are Italians and we help Romanians because Europe is a “handkerchief in the world” and young Romanians will also be the new Europeans.
In particular, we try to fight against the discrimination of the țigana population (which we call Roma, gypsies), creating aggregation between Roma children and non-Roma children. The results are remarkable!
