This type of deformity, associated with marked muscular hypertrophy, involves a high surgical risk. There is also mental retardation (which makes everything difficult). The girl is however very loving and inspires tenderness. She would need corrective surgery of Posterior Vertebral Arthrodesis, to be performed as soon as possible to avoid further worsening but her current conditions (including her weight of only 35 kg), prevent this. She has been taken to Italy twice for in-depth visits. In particular, a series of tests at the Sacro Cuore Hospital in Verona (free of charge), where they assessed that she could perhaps be operable after a specific diet to bring her to a more suitable weight to face the operation. We contacted a nutritionist. In any case, it appears to be a very high-risk operation. We have covered all the expenses.

His case was examined by a team of neurosurgeons, including a well-known doctor, who unfortunately concluded that surgery would not bring any clinical improvement to the situation, which is now too old and consolidated. These are operations that must be done at an early age. Family in very poor conditions, which the Association helps in various ways (including with a small renovation of the house).

A child recently died of leukemia. Very precarious housing conditions. One child has a heart condition. “Classic” situation of difficulty and very difficult environment for the growth of children.

Difficult family situation: the eldest son (24 years old) seems to be affected by autism, he taught himself German since he was 4 years old (his father claimed), in fact he seemed to be comfortable speaking German; he loves physics; he smokes because a friend of his made him try; never taken to specialist checks due to lack of money. The youngest son (14 years old) seems to take care of the house.
